So, I had my final battle of the books (BOB) competition. In BOB, you read certain books, form teams and then answer questions based on the books. The competition uses bells, a question is read, and a team answers by ringing the bell. Or, in my case slaying the bell.
This year, I return with battle wounds. I scratched my hand on the bell, and it hurts. It bled and everything. Then, my team knocked the bell off of the table. And it was taped down. Most likely becuase I knocked off the bell last year when it wasn't taped down. They had to reinforce with extra tape.
Shortly after I sit down in the library of the other middle school in my district, who should walk in but my 5th grade teacher. She now teaches at that middle school, and was coaching a team. One of my teammates, Royce, and I nearly had a heart attack when we saw her. She was a horrible teacher. The only teacher that I've ever had that's worse than her was my 7th grade sicence long-term sub. She got fired when she gave a girl a concussion.
At first, I was hoping this teacher wouldn't recongize me. Nope, she soon came up to me and gave me a hug. And then saw Royce. Later on, Royce just had to tell her that my mom was there, so that the teacher would go and talk to my mom. I feel so sorry for my mom.
We won the 8th grade comeptition, and the tournament of champions, which determined the overall winner. Afterwards, my 5th grade teacher came up to me and Royce and said "I would like to think that it was my superior teaching in 5th grade that helped you win." Yeah right, lady. More like your horrible teaching set me at a disadvantage.
Anyway, hopefully I won't have to see that lady ever again. Unless she shows up at my high school. That would be a nightmare.
Oh gosh, now I'm going to have a bad dream tonight about her being my English teacher or something.
